OSSEC Database Settings

OSSEC_USE_MYSQL

• Configure OSSEC to store events using MySQL. [Default: yes]

OSSEC_DATABASE_SERVER

• IP or hostname of OSSEC database server.

Note

OSSEC only uses tcp sockets. Network access is required.

OSSEC_DATABASE

• Name of OSSEC database.

OSSEC_DATABASE_USERNAME

• Name of OSSEC database user.

OSSEC_DATABASE_PASSWORD

• Password for OSSEC database user.

HIDS_dbd_reconnect_attempts

• Database - maximum number of reconnect attempts
